North Carolina slips set to be auctioned

Thirty-seven boat slips at Harbour Pointe Marina in Carolina Beach, N.C., will be sold next month at a public auction.

The local financial institution that ordered the auction has contracted with the Iron Horse Auction Co. to conduct it.

Eight slips will sell, regardless of price, with the balance selling subject to the owner's confirmation. The marina features 102 deeded slips from 30 to 70 feet, a waterfront clubhouse and pool and a large parking lot.

The auction will be conducted at 11 a.m. April 30 at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Carolina Beach.

"These slips represent the best construction of any marina project that we have ever had the opportunity to sell. With the location at Snows Cut, the [Intra]coastal Waterway and the great Atlantic Ocean are only minutes away. We look forward to transferring these slips to new owners on auction day," Tom McInnis of Iron Horse Auction Company said in a statement.

Not much of a run and MasonBoro's one honey of an inlet, just head South a bit and you're out of a ship channel. Sound's pretty good to me, considering where I'm sitting. Frank
