Non-fishing related Proud Dad post

I'm posting this in Marty's forum because my kid thinks Marty is the man. About a year ago my then 17yo son decided he wanted to be a "natural" bodybuilder. He has always been big and strong for his age, setting the benchpress and squat records for his highschool. He's never been a competitive kid, prefering non-team sports/hobbies, where you as an individual must excel to be recognized.
When he decided on bodybuilding I told him there was going to be a ton of sacrifice, no parting, VERY restricted diet, and hours in the gym. Well, he stuck to it though it was really hard for him to pass up the occasional cheese burger. Saturday he compete in his first show at the ripe old age of 19, the Golds Classic in Wilmington, and finished 2nd in the overall competition. I am so proud of him!!!!
There is no way I would have the discipline he has had over the last year.

Yep Marty thats the same kid that wouldnt hardly speak to anyone on the RunOff that day. He was in his Skateboard Dude phase then. He talks about that day all the time, now that he has some time out of the gym I might be able to get him out on the water to catch some fish.
Lee, I'm in San Diego training some guys until next Saturday after that I'm taking a month off. I'll give you a call to see when you're available to do some fishing.
