No One Said It's Gonna Be Easy,
As most know I'm in the middle of getting my "last" boat put together. It's involving practicing what I preach for sure. The boat is coming along but it's still being a boat. When I sea trialed the boat, it gave me an idea of how deep I'd have to go in the project. One of my perceptions came true yesterday. After putting in the new cutlass bearings, shafts and couplings I found the engine's to be way out of alignment to the shafts. Could I "bulldog" the shaft system to be bolted up, well yes, but it wouldn't be "right". There would be virbration and accelerated wear to the system. Engine/shaft alignment is one very critical (if not the most critical), but easily one of the most ignored aspect's of a boat. In the long term, what is done now will be more than worth the trouble and expense. Looks like my list just got longer. Frank

Getting rid of that vibration will more than made up in the number of bites you will get with it right.
i could tell on the Predator boat when I had line or rope in the wheel, my billfish bite went away. Good luck with it Frank.

Hey Frank...
It's worth doing, which simply means that it's worth doing right - which I know you'll do. She's gonna be a sweetheart 'cause she's got a good daddy!

Got fish
You know what I tell the girls....two ways to do things, the right way and again!
Need to share a great quote from the wife tonight:
"You get Penelope's room done and you can fish all you want." I like it! Good chance I'll be mostly done this week!
