    No Oil Yet!

    Hey Guys,

It's been awhile since I actually went down to Buras to make a fishing trip due to not knowing where the next closure will be. Headed down Sat. morning with high hopes of finding my spotted friends in their normal haunts and boy did we ever. Stopped by Frelich's to pick up some live shrimp but it seemed like the plastic just as well. We wound up finding the birds and they found bait and the trout were right under them! Fished til about 9:30 and limited out with our 75 trout. Here are a few pics from the trip.

The next bite on a jig.
Thats a full cooler and a lot of cleaning work ahead it looks like. Do you mostly fry those up or how do you cook them.

    Nice job on the catch.

I still think a bigger cooler would be in order. Nice catch Steve. What is up with the boat in the background of your first pic? A katrina leftover?
