OK, Capt Brian. . .

when fishing from a 26 world cat, what types of speeds would you troll for white marlin? The spread would consist of naked hoos, skirted hoos, and spreader bars as teasers.

part 2: With a spread like this with whitey in mind, am i at a disadvantage putting a big horse or mac with a chugger type lure in front of it on the long rigger? or a big plastic from one of the longs? should these types be pulled at different speeds?

Once you are offshore and have hit the temp range your looking for, what is your technique for using the sounder to locate the schools? Are you running combo 50/200Mhz, high refresh rates??, What are the triggers that cause you to react??

What do you think about the smaller reels like the Tiagra 16 load with braid and having 24lbs of drag? Have caught 40lb yft and wahoo but just wanted your opinion.

1- HOW MANY LINES WOULD YOU PULL IN MY SITUATION TO AVOID TANGLES

2- WOULD YOU USE THE DOWNRIGGERS OR JUST TROLL TOPSIDE

3-WHAT IS A GOOD TROLLING SPEED TO KEEP THE BAITS LOOKING LIKE THEY WERE SWIMMING NATURALLY

you have checked out the sat images, you have a pretty good idea of where you want to start
so, while heading out, you get within 5-10mi. of your pre-determined area where you want to start. What do you look for that makes you say, hey, its time to put out the spread?

hey captain brian- thanx for being here- when you and da' box- rig 16 dozen hoos and dont use very many and you have 15 dozen left over do you just save them for bailing???and if not how long do you keep them??? and how do you keep them- inquiring minds want to know

OK Capt Brian, tough one for ya: it's day 3 of the Big Rock. Nada so far. Saildogs are chewing on the inside of the Rock but 4 rat Blues are hooked up overboard. Sat shot didn't look great this am. We're on the outside of the Rock. What we going to do?
