Night fishing this weekend?

I'm looking to take my girls out fishing Sat and Sun chasing BSB and hopefully some Bonito out of New River Inlet. Sat night looks like it should be really calm. I was thinking about staying a couple of hours after sunset to see what we can catch. Looking to stay within 12-15 miles.

Is it worth it to fish at night this time of year? If so, what should we target and is it any different than during the day?

I have some glow jigs and bait rigs with glow beads. Any suggestions at all would be appreciated.

Tim, it is one of those things that you will have wait to see. Sometimes the sharks come out and go on the feed, sometimes the bottom fish come out to play. You may find a good flounder bite at dark drifting over bottom.

Man would I love to do that!! My boat on the other hand, not so much. She does pretty well but she's old and had some issues recently. I try to keep her fairly close when I have my girls out with me.

When I get my new boat though, I'll be doing a lot of night time fishing out deep!!
