News Break-Fishing is Supposed to be Fun

I just read a few disturbing posts that shouldn't even come into play on this site. Recreational fishing is supposed to be fun and more about comraderie and enjoying being with friends on the water than what is caught. Fishing is just that, fishing. You can't catch all the time, sometimes the fish don't bite or things go wrong. Just try and enjoy it for what it is.

I agree completly! Tell me you are always successfull and never lose a fish and I will know you are a true fisherman telling tall tails. By the way I did not loose that 10 ft. Sturgeon but I wish I had because my back hurt for a week.

I have to chime in here as well. I have been a member here for a few years and have learned an incredible amount by just reading posts. If is posts like these and other negative one that I have never felt comfortable getting involved in posting. I work very hard every day running a successful business and the last thing I want is to get involved in an unnecessary dispute or to be made fun of for an innocent post or comment. I come hear to be entertained by learning about the wonderful sport of offshore fishing, a bug by which I was bitten later in life. You are right! Fishing is suppose to be fun!

I must agree with you all here but unfortunately, booze and keyboards mix about as well as booze and driving, both are going to get you in trouble.

What I hate is most is people who want to stir the pot, both on the boards and behind the seines, both which happens here unfortunately and it sucks that we have to put up with it.

Best thing we can do, is nothing at all and do not reply back to them ( which is very hard at times) so that it takes away from what they are trying to do. Ignore then and sooner or later when they don't get the reaction they want, they will go away. Just my humble opinion.

This is certainly not the first time and unfortunately not the last. Capt. Lee is a wise fella and I certainly hope everyone can listen and not post things that add fuel to a fire that should remain behind the scenes at this time. Otherwise everyone get their fire suits on.

Lee I agree with you completely. Hope all is well with the Predator. How's the old expedition doing? By the way, I have the card for you that has the door lock combo on it. Call me and I will get it to you on the boat one day.

As you said ... sometimes that is harder than others. I have been reeled in by a few of them myself.
