Ok who's got the 50 lbr club pins my hat has just a spot for it! This was our third trip of the season and the bite wasn't red hot where we were but the QUALITY was awesome. This fish was caught on the WFB on a 12" white shad. She put up quite the battle and swam away to put a smile on someone else's face another day! The fish taped out at 50" and went 55lbs!


Word has it that about twelve miles below us some of my friends actually were commercial fishing for the day and it was the best bite they have ever seen with 40lb rockfish skying on the bait. They had tags for there catch for the day 1500lbs hook and line

Please, do the fish a favor if you intend to release it. Don't take it out of the water! That size striper is a breeding female and shouldn't be supported by her belly as she is part of the future of the fishery. A beauty of a fish there Buzzard.

Way to go there BUZZARD, hell of a catch, and I give you a lot of credit for releasing it. My hand would have been very tempted to open the fishbox. Great pic too.

But unfortunately I am not fishing out of a bathtub this is a large high sided charter boat. And cutting the line and leaving the bait in her mouth ain't either! I knew the peanut gallery was gonna pound me so I didn't dare put the picture with the net up

Pretty work Preston. Don't fret over others' telling ya what to do with your catch--- tell em to go catch their own fish--- Although I know he meant well.

In the shipping channel straight out of Reedville. Glenn I know he meant well I just couldn't help myself! Reel It was really on fire @ the bottom of the cut channel yesterday.White rain was falling out of the sky there were only 2 boats on a huge school of huge fish! I have a pic of the birds on the radar screen I will post up! This fish made up for the one i lost off my boat three Nov. ago it was much larger than this one it broke brand new 80 ande mono. For you spring rockfish guys don't forget LARGE BAIT=LARGE FISH.
