Pretty boat. You have the history pretty straight. The company now is True World Marine. They make a really nice diesel boat. I don't think the Moonies have any interest in the company now.

kinda looks like an older bluefin with the headlights and all
Actually I think they still do. They dropped the moonie name years ago and now go by the "Unification Church". The unification church is tied to many companies that the name begins with True World ex: True World foods who controls much of the Sushi distribution in the US. I am only learning bits and pieces from Google but it looks like the religion and the marine/fishing industry is still very much connected and it looks like they are a very powerful group with lots of money.
True World Marine is located within the Jarrett Bay Marine Industrial Complex. I doubt that there is any other connection between them. JB sells and/or leases property to other marine-related buisnesses .If you ever get near Beaufort NC , it is well worth a visit , about 178 acres ,I believe , all marine firms.
You must have had a good buddy, to be able to talk him into buying that thing. What a Dream ? Could be a nightmare ! How much work have you gotten done on it ? By the way, where is my $$$ ???
Man, that sure looks like a panga-hybrid to me. My favorite small boat hull design, by the way. If you can swing twins on it, you should go that way. They weathervane like crazy in idle. And with the narrow beam they drive more like a motorcycle than a quad. Its a different feel, but once you get used to it it's great the way these boats ride.
Do you know who makes the headlights? I am looking for something exactly like that to put on MY panga hybrid.
