    New project - just completed

Just wrapped up this new rocket launcher for my boat. The mahogany launcher I have on now needs to be refinished, so I made this one to take it's place. The wood is Indonesian Acacia - Same species as the Hawaiian Koa tree.

3 coats of epoxy and 16 coats of urethane later, here is what we have... Ready to go on the boat this weekend.

WOW! If that's what you do when the old one needs refinishing.....

That's absolutely gorgeous. If it were mine I'd probably never put it on the boat. I'd be afraid of dinging it. Beautiful work.

Sooooo.... what are you going to do with your old one?
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

Gonna strip the old one to bare wood and refinish - not sure after that.

Of your's, I was expecting something just a little prettier! I'm not sure it meet's the standard's of your rig, but I'm pretty sure it would work just fine on mine! Nice lookin stuff there Capt Fred. Frank

    Frank -

The rocket launcher and helm chairs are my only indulgence in wood on the outside of my boat - My rule is if I can't carry it home to do the maintenance, it has no place on the outside...

Do you have a rocket launcher or a chair? I can't remember seeing it in a picture, So I'm just not sure... If you need a launcher - let me know...

    Hey,

Just lost power so I'll try to send again. I have a chair on the boat now, but I like the room a launcher free's up. I have thought about using a launcher and a couple of sailfish chairs. The fighting chair looks good, but unless billfishing, I don't know how practical it'll be. Some guy's use a fighting chair and 2 sailfish chairs on a boat my size. I've always used stand-up gear and belt's, that has worked out fine with the guy's that fish with me. But with charter's, I don't know. So much to figure out. But it looks like you did a nice job on your launcher. Frank

See, I was thinking you might want to part with it for a very "reasonable" price. So if Frank doesn't want it...
