New opportunity
Just wanting to let everyone know that I have taken a job fishing a commercial bottom boat for the winter. We'll be out 4-7 days at a time, and then back in 3-4. I'll still be fishing our day boats in between trips, when the weather allows. I'll let everyone know how we did when we return from the trips. You guys hold down the fort, and catch 'em up when the weather allows.

Be safe out there, i've seen a few of those southport boats try and ride out a few big blow's last year and when they finially made it to Morehead city they were pretty beat up. Be safe, Ken

Ken, if it's blowing over 25, we're staying at the dock. If we're out there and it's going to blow up for more than a day, we're coming home. The guy running the boat agree's with me, it's not worth getting beat up and risking our lives. The boat'll handle 30 without a problem, but 25 is our comfort factor.

Good deal, You'll have to let me know were the B-liners are this winter since we won't be able to fish on those Reds. Good luck, if you get time off during BFT season and you don't want to drag the boat to MHC give me a shout and jump on. Ken

Will do Ken. Last week, we caught them in 95-105 ft. of water. Most everyone that I've talked to, it's been the same for them. A buddy of mine tried in 340 ft. last week, but couldn't get them past the jacks. RG's have been in about the same depth as the b-liners.

Been the same out of MHC.. found a real good grade after the last be SW Blow but found a pile of big triggers, RG and American Reds last week. Going to start BFT fishing Monday, been a few reports of fish being spotted. Ken
