I KNOW FOR A FACT I WILL NEVER GO TO FRANCE...NOTHING THERE BUT SPINELESS ONES.....AND GERMANY?...WELL YOU KNOW THE DEAL BACK THEN.......OR BOSNIA? Yes Cowboy, that is awesome...
what kind of bugs are those man? The guy who does mine charges me 100 bucks and says it takes about the same amount of effort to do a skull mount right as it does to do a shoulder. It just cost less in materials. I would like to try one on my own sometime on a cull buck. What is your process?

Captain Mike,
Cowboy and I have been producing skull mounts for about 9 months. The bugs are Dermestid beetles and can clean a skull in a matter of days depending on the size of the colony and the air temperature. After the bugs are finished, there are a couple of processes that the skull must undergo before the skull is finished. We have done dove skulls to bear skulls with nice results and plan on doing more this year with the upcoming hunting seasons just starting. |
