then you have no problems with it! not everybody is that good though. And if you moved to a more modern reel you'd probably get 15-25 yards extra distance easy.

Distance is over rated in most places up here! my most productive surf reel lately has been drifting near some heavy structure with straight 50lb mono on a Squidder....

its overrated in a lot o fplaces...but sometimes you need to be able to reach the backside of the second bar
