I took a solo trip to support the TI Reef Foundation hosted by Jimmy Moran over at Moran's Dockside. I was in search of big fish and unfortunately came up short. Unlike some of my buddies I only fished a few hours and only had a few shorts.

The 6109 crew (Me, Danielle, Meg and Gary a.k.a. Mako19) decided to fish before the storm. With the flood tide being around 5pm and the wind blowing around 25 kts, there were only a few spots we could fish. Captain Gary and I made an executive decision to put the girls on fish! It is still paying off, we ended up slamming em! Meg was high hook with both keepers around 20/21." While the rest of us had our fair share of throwbacks. Its safe to say we ended the day with 2 keepers and 15 shorts. All on mackerel and minnows! in about 20' of water.

There is nothing but love on this board. You gotta love it!! That was some fine fishing back there with steady action for 2 hours straight. Tyler knows his stuff in that Avalon back country.
