Need your opinion on fuel burn

Well, I sold the 21 Wellcraft and am looking to move up. I have found a few boats that interest me and one is a 30 cc w/ twin 2000 225 Johnsons. The boat weighs in at 7,000 #'s w/ motors dry.
I wanted to know if any of you runs motors like these on a rig this weight and if so what's your fuel burn.
I wasnt really looking to by a boat bigger than 25-26 ft. but I can get a deal on this one but need to consider how much more fuel she will burn.
Any advice or experiences are greatly appreciated.

    We have 32' SeaCraft w/ 225 Merc's, it's over 10,000 lbs loaded. We cruise at 4,000 rpm's and burn 13 gals / hr each

Thats what I was afraid of

Didnt want to hear that Hunt4Fish!!!

Just got off the phone with a guy that has the same boat(2000 Hydra-Sport Vector 3000) and he says he gets .9-1.0 cruising.

I can afford the boat but not filling the damn thing up.

    I guess thats why it's a steal.

Looks like I am going to continue looking for the 2000 2576's and 2796's.

I doubt there will be a huge diff. in burn but everyone I talk to says those older Johnny's love the fuel/oil.

Please let me know if yall see any of the above two models for sale.

Thanks again to the SFC crowd, the only place you get a straight answer in 30 minutes or less.

Talk to O-Sea-D he has a Hydra-Sport with Johnsons on the back of it,I don't believe he has haved that much problem ( or if any) out of his motors. But I have owned 2 of them and wouldn't give you a dollar for a truckload of them, but there is always a lemon in the bunch,I just found 2 of them!! I'm on my 3rd. Yammie and have loved every one of them but that's my 2cents worth.
