Surf fishing could be good that time of year.

Don't know when the full moon is in April 09, but if it's in the latter part of the month, plan around it.... Red Drum spring run in the surf.

Bring your boat down. You can either fish out of O inlet or tow on down to Hatteras. Wind can be an issue. If its blowing I ain't going either! NE sucks out of O inlet and SW sucks out of Hatteras. Capt. Duane's offer is a great way to learn either inlet and he's a great fisherman. I may even be interested in jumping on, if its so I can. Tuna fishing is usually good at that time. But who knows, it seems to change every year. Let me know if I can be of some help.

I have hunted up there for years. There is no close access to the ocean for your big boat. Take a jon boat or bateau and you will have a blast. The water is real skinny behind Corolla.

Your main fishing there that time of year will be in the surf for blues, drum and stripers.

If you wanna go offshore, drive down to Oregon Inlet or Pirates Cove (45 min to an hour) and charter a 55-65' who will know where the fish are and get you out and back safely.

I think there was a thread on here a few weeks ago about charter boats in that area.

Thanks!
