Need Some Help

Great people of sportfishermen.com, I need your assistance. I recently lost my father, fishing partner, and best friend to cancer. Together we really got into fishing over the last ten years and have really got hooked into offshore big game fishing. My father was not only a friend and father to me but was also a great role model and hero to me, my brother and sister. My dad lost his father when he was only 5 years old and lost his mother had a sever stroke he was 15. At that time my father started working full time to take care of her and his brother. Well to make a long story short we went from not having a dime and not being able to borrow a nickel, to building a very successful construction company and was able to build homes for all his children. Now that you have a little background info here is whay I am here writing this.....

We new that my father only had a week or two left when we came home from the hospital but he wanted to be at home. In that last week we sat and talked about many things like taking care of mom for him, how much we loved one another, what we were going to miss the most, and all the things that he and he and I wanted to do together. In that discussion he told me to go catch him the blue marlin we had been chasing the last ten years.
So that brings me here asking all you great people of sportfishermen.com to help a young man fulfill mine and my fathers dream. If anyone ever has an opening to go search for a marlin please do not hesitate to give me a holler.

Thanks for that great, touching story.. I also lost my father early, but got to fish with him for about 20 yrs. He taught me everything I know and also everything I didn't know. We never could get into the offshore scene as much as we wanted to because we couldn't afford it.

I'm now able to go offshore somewhat and I have a BIG FAT 4X6 Glossy of him right on the helm next to me.

Everytime we bring a fish in I look over at him and give him a Tumbs Up..

He really enjoys being out there with us, that I know..

I'm sure your dream will be fulfilled in the near future.
