I just whant to know if its safe to use a surgeons loop knot to in a 30 pound test line, to get a double line.?
I dint belive in double line but I what ti give it a try,

A double surgens loop is very strong but not as strong as a Bimini. I believe it's about 80%.

Triple overhand knot ... called the poor man's bimini. Its what I use for all my double lines to a wind on or an offshore swivel knot. Never fails.

yet to break a surgeons loop or a bimini and i have fought multiple tuna on both
