Need HELP Belhaven to Wanchese

I have about a customer about an hour outside of Belhaven with one motor down and I need to get him as close to Wanchese as possible to get someone out to him any suggestions on where to lay up where he has access to a car service or anything of that Nature. Would need to house 45' 14'8 beam

Any info would be helpful

Which side of Belhaven? An hour North or South?

Absolutely nothing between Belhaven and Wanchese that will be of help.

Belhaven has a couple of marinas... River Forest, Rob's Boatyard, Belhaven Waterway Marina, etc.

All those will handle that size boat but having access to a car is impossible in Belhaven... No rental cars but River Forest Marina will let you borrow the golf cart.

Might be a rental car service in Little Washington that will drive a car down to Belhaven but that is doubtful.

He is in Belhaven now and has a cracked fuel injector line. Nearest dealer is Wanchese and Moorehead and from what I understand Belhaven is slap dab in the middle of the two...One last resort is Coverton Diesel and I am awaiting a call back on them having the part in stock or The part has to be overnighted. Hopefully he is back here by saturday.

A piece of fuel resistant rubber tubing and a couple of hose clamps will get him underway, if he watches it and does not push her too hard. Have him cut away the bad section and splice in the tubing.

Not sure if Robs Boat yard is still open. Radcliffe marine will send someone to the dock he is tied up at for the right price and see what they can do. Ricky is a great guy and his brother Lee is one of the most knowledgeable men when it comes to gas motors that I have ever met. If he absolutely needs a place to tie up my family has about 1000 foot of dock space in swan quarter and we have cars but no car services and I am about an hour from wanchese by car and 30 minutes from belhaven. He can borrow my car as long as he will take me fishing one day. lol

Thank you so much for the offer! After a total of 5 hrs chasing my tail around in circles we determined that no one had the part in stock and we wouldn't get it till 10am tmrw and Western Diesel is coming out of Wanchese to get him up and going.

Ernie Manning at Western has been very helpful and accomidating especially the traveling I think he said 4 hrs.

Hopefully the crew of Lexie Marie is having a good night in Belhaven.

May the gods be with them and have a safe speedy trip home!!!

They probably ended up in river forest manor it is a nice place. They have everything someone could want for an over night stay in Belhaven. So I am sure they were taken care of.

Lucky once he gets here to wanchese if he needs ANYTHING just let me know. I can carry him somewhere or refer him to some mechanics etc...
There are a couple of car rentals around enterprise being the best or most reliable.
Remember anything I can do I will. Also if he can't get in the harbor or doesn't know the way we can meet him out somewhere and help assist him in. PM for my cell number!!! I'm just a call away!
As far as a place for him to dock there are plenty tell him to call around Broadcreek, Thicket Lump (sometimes a little hairy at low tide) may be the cheapest or even a dock at the haul out. Pirates Cove will be expensive compared, but might cut him a break due to engine troubles.
