Need Advice Real Bad

Ok...first off I know that there is another place on Sportfisherman.com where I could pose this question (Surf Fishing Section), but I think that most of the knowledge is here (as well as local guys). I am going to the South Core Banks this weekend for some surf action and am wondering if I should try the North End near Drum Inlet or the South End near Cape Lookout. Here is what I know, for what it's worth it looks like wind will either be SW at 25 knots or NE at 25 Knots (Supposed to Change sometime Saturday). I hope not NE. My thought is that if it is SW we fish near Drum Inlet and if it is NE we fish Lookout. Please provide feedback!!!! Every bit will be greatly appreciated. Comfort due to the cold is not the issue...We want to catch fish and post pictures on this forum. Let me know where to go. I will obey the consensus.

Don't know if this will help you alot, but down shackleford banks over Thgving. There was a decent bite down the beach from a couple hundred yards from the inlet down to Dead Tree Hole area.Saw some nice trout being caught,a few drum and some nice sea mullets and of course blues. And if its a N-NE wind its nice on the ocean side of Shackleford.Good Luck

cant offer much in the way of pointing you in the right direction as i always fish North Core Banks. but dont overlook the holes along the beach.....a spinning rod and small selection of mirrolures can bring much pleasure this time of year. trout and drum so stacked up it aint even funny. but, that wind forecast sucks....no two ways about it.

I know it sucks, NE now 20 knots...looks like an 8 and Bait day unless I go south of the lighthouse. I was hopeful that I might be able to time the striper bite down that way, it looks like I should have gone to HI or OCI. We'll still have fun.
