A neat idea for trailer lights

I got a pair of these (incandescent version) for my birthday this year and have been very pleased with the results so far.
Nice to keep the connections out of the water. Should give you 2x longer light life.

Years ago, everyone had that bar across the gunnals for the tie down, and the lights were mounted on the bar. When you took it off to launch, the lights went with the bar, never seeing salt water... and they lasted forever! Now, I know it's not pretty, but seems it's a LOT more functional than these lights built into the trailer that have to be replaced every trip.

Those pipe lights look like they'd last a LOT longer than the ones mounted to the trailer.

    That's a good question?
I looked at these last year. We could not find a way to change the lamp. Called the factory and they said the lamps cant be changed. What do you do if one burns out? Or did they change the design?

Those work just ok. Do not back your trailer down into solid ice though. They snap off so fast it's not funny.

There is no light made that can survive on a jon/duck boat trailer.

Take the black O roing off around the light, open the red plastic assembly and change bulbs.

Already tried to see how easy it would be to change.

    That depends...
I like it! I changed my trailer lights to LED 2 years ago and already one of the running lights quit working. Looks pretty simple to make too.

I might give those a shot. Makes a lot of sense.
