Therefore I like to use monel only with no pin. I will use med to horse hoos with 8/0 9/0 and even up to 11/0 7691 7692 and 7731a and ADs when using wire

Which brings me to pin rigs. I use pin rigs here in NC from late Feb to late May when all bills are not real prevalent. Always use monel with pin rigs till the bite gets torrid then cut off monel and switch to rubberbands

Dink fishing nowadays I like the matzuo 7/0 oshaugn hook and starting to mix some vmc circle hooks for practice JIC. Mono always for me dink fishing and yep a wahoo will eat em but to target wahoo I would use wire rigs with something other than dinks

A split bill hoo swims great on the flats shotgun and mousetrap too. I have even seen a 6 bait spread of all swimmers using guatemala rigs with circle hooks
