My second Bluefin

On Sunday I went on my second Bluefin trip. I went with Rick,my brother,and my dad. I fell asleep on the couch in the salon with my brother. I woke up and looked out the window. I saw my dad in the cockpit, not driving the boat and Rick realing in lines. I said to myself oh shoot. I ran outside and started helping to real in lines. Then I stopped ran inside kicked my brother awake. We both realed in lines and got Box's camo poon out from the salon,while Rick was realing it in. Then a stupid Bayliner started turning towards us with my dad doing 8 knots in reverse to catch up with the fish. Almost everybody heard my dad yelling and cursing at that Bayliner to get out of the way. Well finally the Bayliner turened when we were 25 yards away from him. It took us 20 minutes to catch the fish. We sold him at Portside. He was just a hair under 80 inches and was 227 lbs. cored. My favorite part was watching Rick cut him open with the hacksaw. I had alot of fun.

Great story, not a bad way to spend your 2nd bluefin trip. I hope there are more reports to come from you and your brother. These are days well spent im sure with your dad and rick. Congrats on landing the fish.

Great report there Christopher, not bad for an 8yr old. Tell dad he needs to get you a vid camera. You guys did a great job in the pit clearing and setting up the gear, thanks, everything went just right.
