Tunatamer - you can buy brine shrimp eggs and hatch them out in a jar. Most enthusiast do this so they can feed fish that they have bred. They are nothing more then sea monkeys. and sea horses love them.

I know all about the sea monkey thing, been there, done that. I guess it just boiled down to no longer having the time or interest to maintain the "feed" set up.

My Dad raised and bred fish for as long as I can remember(way before the current technology of today) and I started when I was a teen. I continued with the passion for about 15 years or so then just lost the "drive" for all the maintainance and everything involved with extensive rearing. I settled on just keeping a few fish and some live rock for something to watch when I'm not on the water. I can deal with the testing, water changes and feedings, but all the moving of preggo fish and rearing the fry is just too much for me anymore. I have to say, it WAS fun though.

And fly- I hear ya on the dreaming of NE. I use to love walking up to the bridges or lighted piers at night and hearing the "POPS" of those cows sucking bait off the top. Man, the memories.
