My new shelter dog

just picked up hardy from the shelter on sunday.

seems awesome so far, house trained and all.

all i need to do is pick up duck hunting and teach him to retrieve them!

he re-learned "down" and now just comes up to me, gets down and starts whining for a treat..

got a date with the vet on saturday because no history was known..

hope to bring him down to morehead for a few days of bluefinning shortly.

Way to go...looks to me like you got yourself a new best friend. It's amazing what a little love and attention will do to an otherwise unwanted dog. Good on ya...keep us updated.

Looks good Stew. We have one rescue dog and a twin that we bought. The rescue one will never be right. All we can do is make him as comfortable as possible for his remaining years.

Good to see that someone else does this too. I got "Shadow"( because she's black and follow's me like my shadow) about a month ago walking the street's. A really sweet, smart little dog, house trained over night and goes to the crate without any problem's. I've looked for a home since I got her without any luck so far. Any one interested???I really don't need another one, 15 dogs and 9 cats now,whew!!! Frank,SeaPower
