    My luck continues

4/11 - Got up at 3:30 to once again check the charts to see where we needed to go. I received the confirmation that I needed and we left the dock shortly before 5:00.

About 50 miles out, damn sonar (newly installed I might add) goes along with one of the Garmin units. At least we have the other unit with the GPS. Not starting off good, but we are optimistic. Tried to fix the dame sonot to no avail.

Lines in the water at about the 72 mile mark where the water quality changes. We troll for freaking ever without the least little bit of a bite. Continued our exploration of the gulf stream with no luck and headed home shortly before 12:00. The only good things about the day were the weather (although did get a bit choppy for a 2 hour period), the company, and running 43 knots home!

    Here's to better days ahead.

I'll make you feel better about yourself. We were making the 100nm trip to do an overnight from va to the outer banks when 80 nm into it we blew an injector line and washed all the oil out of the port engine. When fixing all the crap and cleaning up the mess we snapped a bolt that took a quick run on a sat to get a new one. After 7 gal of oil to flush the engine i hit the starter and all i got was CLUNK!!! went down and put a wrench to the front pully and nothing won't budge........Whole frickin engine is seized. With no one close that does detroits.

Hope you feel a little better lol i'm going back to the boat to stare at my giant white paper weight in the engine room.

I'll agree your problem far exceeds mine. Best of luck to you! Mine is only compounded by the fact that repairs were just completed on the aforementioned equipment

I imagine if i was in your shoes you could have heard me cussing on the beach from the 100fm line. Sounds like a little bit of repairman recalibration is in order.
