It really looks like a nice place to take a vacation. She's done a phenomenal job on the photos. Do they actually USE the fireplaces??? Also, I've gotten some ideas on wind break designs for our own house!! We asked them to orient it to the wind - little did we know what we were asking...

So do they let people come and visit for the day? We could pretend that we could actually afford a vacation or a villa there or something - get a free meal? hehehehe I'd love to see it.

Just stop by the sales office in Saltmills. Ask for Ed Ruffner and see what he can do for you. I'll tell him that you're potential buyers and hook you up. That's the only way to come over. there's no vacation rentals, timeshares, or anything like that here. It's strictly private homes.

Still no fishing, but I took some of the staff out to get some conch this afternoon. It gave me a chance to try out my camera underwater. I was a little skeptical about using it underwater even though it says I can. It worked fine. Took a couple of our concierge guys(Gaston and Julien) out for conch and Chef Rich. We had a good time, but I think I'm gonna do some fishing tomorrow. B tw, Rich caught a needlefish on the flats and cooked it up. It was actually good fried. Another new fish I've eaten under my belt.

Which underwater camera did you get?
We need a new one. Olympus only stayed waterproof for about six months.

I've got an Olympus Stylus 850 SW. But I was told that if I rinsed it with freshwater after I was done, it would be ok. So far, so good.

Ours worked well underwater for several trips. I took a lot of good shots with it. Then it started misbehaving. I managed to dry it out in an over twice now and get it working again, but now it won't link up with the computer on the USB. Have to take the XD card out of it and put it in a card reader on La Gringa's laptop to get the photos. Still takes photos.

The deepest I have had it was maybe 15 or 16 feet. I don't know where it's leaking, but it's not a catastrophic leak. It doesn't fill up with water or anything. It just immediately stops working when it gets submerged But the last time I took it in the water I was standing in maybe five or six feet of water intending to take some photos as i scrubbed the hull. The camera quit immediately. It couldnt have been more than three feet under.

We may buy another one, the new 1030. But that's only cause I got spare XD chips and batteries ( which might not work in the new one). I plan to buy one of the silicon rubber 'skins' they sell for these cameras. I have been pretty rough on this one.
