hey John,
It's starting to look like we will be getting some of our life back here, with more time for fishing etc. on the horizon.

How do you recommend I rig those beautiful lures you gave me? Wire leader and some beads?

I rig them with 200lb. or 300lb. mono with chafing tube in the lure head. Then I just crimp on a piece of cable to the hook with a small loop at the top. Then crimp the mono to that. Make sure the bend of the hook lines up with the end of the skirt. It's simple and works. Might not be how everyone does it, but it works for me. I'm not a fan of stiff rigs, but they work also.

We had a professional photographer on island this past week. Here's some of the pics she took. Nothing to do with fishing, but I think they came out good.

That's not entirely true. There are five fresh water pond/lakes on Pine Cay. One time when there was a huge storm some tarpon got blown into Lake Marou and lived quite happily there for some time.

There are also some theories floating around about Christopher Columbus stopping there to replenish his fleet's supply of fresh water.

I hear there's some freshwater on North Caicos also. I meant there wasn't any on the island I was on.
