My little "Island" in this "World" Vol. 3

Well, I wish Vol. 3 had a better start. My clients were 2 hours late and it was ROUGH!! Got beat up just outside the harbor with just a few small yellowtails and a cuda to show for our efforts. Even if it was only an hour and a half of fishing. Hopefully when the wind dies out, the fishing will get better.

MORE WIND!!!!!! Went down to the boats this morning and almost got blown down. C'mon.....time for it to let up a bit.

I went out on the patio this morning to watch the sun rise, and the wind was kicking up about an inch of chop on my coffee. In the cup. I kid you not. I took a short video of it, but don't know how to post it. May stick it on the blog.

Nah, a friend from the states sent it to me. I took a vid a few minutes ago though. One of our supply barges got stuck in the jettys and has to wait until 7:00 high tide tonight. Now that sucks. Even if I had trips today, we couldn't run them because the barge is taking up the whole channel. Oh well....."you know what" happens.

Well finally got to go fishing this afternoon for the first time in a while. Had Steve Schram from Connecticut fishing today. He's also one of the main partners here. Therefore, He's my boss. It was a last minute trip and we left to go reef fishing around 5:00 this afternoon and got back around 6:15. It was rougher than you know what, but we managed some yellowtails,queen triggers, and a big Mutton Snapper. Not bad at all for a short sloppy trip. had an awesome meal too. Chef Rich prepared a conch/grapefruit ceviche for an appetizer. Then tequila-lime Mutton snapper for a main course. It looked good, but Rich made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I'm sure it clogged an artery, but it was worth it. How about a Kobe beef burger topped with pulled pork,cheese,and mayo.

As soon as the wind lays down, there's gonna be a killin I tell ya. Got our big boat back up and running today. New motors, new GPS/Sonar....I'm ready now. I spent all day hooking up the motors,hydraulic steering,etc. and even knocked out the break-in period. I'm ready to go now. I'm looking to hit some of those ledges and do some jigging for grouper,snapper,hogfish,etc. Even got some electric reels on the way for deep dropping. Now, just need it to quit blowing.
