Where in T&C is the island, I fished in Provo last year with the BXRL and it was great. they dont allow spearfishing though, and all those fish on the reef to just look at, its like fishing without hooks. Anyway, good luck down there, I hope all goes well.

. I had to change that really quick. He said in his own words..."Show me how you Carolina Boys do it". I gave him a crash course in bait rigging and off we went. I ran a whole 8 minutes to my first area. I trolled the wall right off the beach that goes from 450 feet to 900 feet in a matter of yards. 5 rods out.....5 fish on in the first 5 minutes. All Barracudas
. went deeper to 1200 feet(another 100 yards offshore)....more cudas. Damn it man. "Martee...pull em in"... that's what I said as I had to try the spot I saw on the chart last night. Ran another 10 minutes to what seemed to be a seamount on the chart looking by water depth around the area on the chart. Just a guess, but I had to try it out. Pulled them back and set out 5 lines again. (1) WWWB bait,(1) bridle planer bait, and (3) surface baits...one on each rigger and a flatline. Went about 2 minutes of getting all the lines out and I marked a spot that went from 980 feet to 450 feet. I knew there was a mount here!! Marked some good marks around 100 feet and made a pass....nothing
. Made a figure eight to hit the mark from a different angle and WHAM!! Double header on the riggers. The Tiagras were screaming and I knew these weren't no damn cudas. One pulled the hooks with Roxanne and we concentrated on Anna's fish. Nice wahoonbox....
While Martee was giving high fives and congratulating the girls, I had the boat at trolling speed and setting baits back out. I got about 20 yards from the spot and BAM!! another double. We got both of these fish and as soon as I iced them down we had run out of time and had to head back. Did I mention that this was a 2 hour trip.
No more long 3 hour runs to fish for me man. 10 minutes from the harbor and swimming distance from the beach. Fishing 400 to 1300 feet numbers this close is awesome. I had to be back for a snorkeling trip for a prospect so we packed it in and ran home. We took some pics and I called the chefs to come down and pick up the fish because i had to head back out. Took the snorkeling trip out for an hour trip and our snorkeling guide pulled me aside on the way in and told me of a bunch of lobsters in that area. As soon as we got back, I called up some locals here and told them what we found. They were there in no time with gear in hand. We have a busy week coming up and the restaurant is need ing lobsters and fish. Well we supplied the fish already, now it's time for the bugs. The anchor wasn't even set and the boys were in the water. CRAP!! I left my camera in my bag at the dock. Oh well, I'll get shots later. After about an hour and a half the boys had the cooler full of lobsters, a few grouper, and a nice Mutton Snapper also. We run in and make a delivery to the restaurant. What a day and as I right this, I'm fresh out of a hot shower, all cleaned up and it's 4:30. I was done at 2:30 and I didn't leave the dock this morning until 9:00
