    My first report

Headed out of CB inlet in the new sea fox for the first time at 6:30. Went straight to 23 mile rock, had lines in at 8:00. The first and only king came along about 9:00, a little 12lber, and after a couple of high fives to celebrate the first fish ever on the 'Reel Blue' the oil pressure light came on After checking everything out, everything was running great but we decided to play it safe and head for the hill. When we got back I made a call and found out that it was the signal that it was time for the 20 hour service I wish someone would have told me that when we bought it but all in all we got our first king and there is nothing wrong with the boat, so I guess it turned out to be a good day. I hope to have a better report next time.

Nothing wrong with this report Ryan. There and back safe and a fish to boot. The afternoon blew up pretty good, so it was a good call to head home early.
Looking forward to your next report and please, remember to take a camera!

Thanks Nick. I have a few pictures but I can't find my cable to load them on the laptop. If I can find it I will get it on here.

Congrats on your first voyage on the new ride Ryan. Glad you made it out and back safely. Gotta get used to all the new bells and whistles. Got the skunk off of her on the first trip. Gotta feel good about that. How did she handle the CB inlet?

Thanks slip. The boat handled everything better than I could have hoped. Not a drop of water on me or the wind shield. We left the inlet at pretty much dead low tide and had no problems, it seems the dredging has worked for now. But there was something I forgot to add in my original post, Thank you Capt. John, Fishdancer, SeaBisciut and everyone else for all the tips that really are the reason for that king getting in the boat

BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT MYSELF DUDE.........WHY ON EARTH DOESN'T THE DEALER EXPLAIN THIS ON DAY ONE? THE SIGNAL SHOULD NOT SOUND LIKE A FREAKING FIRE ALARM GOING OFF......INSTEAD OF A SCAREY ALARM OR FLASHING LIGHT ....IT SHOULD BE THAT STUPID DIGITAL AUTOMATED VOICE THEY USE ON THE NOAA WEATHER SAYING: "PLEASE KEEP FISHING...ALL IS WELL...BUT WHEN YOU GET A MOMENT, HAVE YOUR OIL SERVICED "

YOUR DAY WILL COME IN YOUR NEW RIDE!

Thats what think. I was looking for the check engine light to go off because that is what I was told by the dealer. But all in all the boat is in now for the service and then I am good to go for the rest of the year hopefully.

It is a shame to have to cut the day short to an alarm like that, but glad you made the right decision.

At least you christened the boat and have some meat to boot. Great start!
