My BFT season is done, thanks BRFC guys!

Today was my last chance to hear a 130 do the BFT grind for the season as I must return to work tomorrow night. I was given the oppurtunity to fish with Baywolf and Capt. Tim on the Fishin Days today and it was interesting to say the least. Had a couple fine fellas from the western part of the state ride along hoping to get a shot at crankin on a slob.

Left out around 4:30am and headed out the swelly inlet, the warm water has really pushed in 62+deg at the Trawler. I've learned alot watching the Block rig baits and run the spread, great teacher, hope to put some of these new skills to use the next trip to the bluewater.

Day break came and went, drizzle and cold. When Capt. says look over there, bait ball getting hammered, sharks and big BFT's. Some of the BFTs were really throwing down getting airborne. Congrats to Capt. Pete/Energizer on getting one tight and decking. We worked around with everyone else with out a nibble, the mountain boys got to see a good show and saw a right whale around NWP's.

Nearly as fast as it started it was over with, moved back inshore a few miles. Pulled in the right LR and the bait had the BFT bite, just missed the hook Set back out and worked towards the hill. I feel for these guys and everyone else that has put in as many days as they have and gone home with a empty deck.

Congrats to Box/Mike and the rest of the crews that bloodied the decks more frequently. I have enjoyed fishin with Baywolf and E40 on his boat, 2 different operations, big boat/small boat, same goal. Learned alot from both and hope the next season brings some BFT love to the less fortunate.
