Tryin' to be the man, my dog think's I am. marine diesel service owner

    Did The Same,

on Tuesday on a wreck south of you. Had my 18 year old son and an uncle on board. They wanted to do some "pullin", I said maybe I can help you guy's out. Well approx 50 (yes 50) AJ's later they had enough. They started just after sunrise till about 2 pm. Both went to sleep without any problem that evening. Kept 3 for eatin'.
I can't for the life of me figure out the "low life" status of the AmberJack. They pull like the dicken's and are good to eat. Yes they do have parasites (not all do), but you can avoid them. It's great looking and tasting meat. It's a great fish in my book, they provide alot of fun on light gear. Frank

Totally agree! I always want to come back with one AJ or Almaco in the box for the grill. Just cut out the tailsection until you dont see any of those little buggers and the rest is a thick, firm, beautiful piece of meat for the grill. A little lemon juice, lime pepper, and a sprinkle of brown sugar on a hot grill. Doesnt get any better than that!
