The tip in the link below is where I mentioned the correct way to use a spro swivel.

Trolling Weight Bridle Setup (Version 1)

Its in bold just under the parts required section.

    Glad I could help

However, I learned it from Captain Brian months ago...so once again I don't take credit for it. I was just passing it along to everyone else.

We all learn something new every day.

Thanks, Box (and Beast and O-Sea-D). That is interesting. First I had heard of this.

It is the attention to small details that makes the BIG difference. I wonder how many of the fish lost to Spro's hanging up over the years is due to them being backwards???????

    Thanks Again

Thanks for the tip Brian, Marty, and John.
BTW, if you don't mind asking for me, I've been having this problem with ring around the collar and-----
You are not right I have to admit, I LMAO when I read Marty's comment about not washing Poneytail's workout clothes with his fishing shirts.

Trolling Weight Bridle Setup (Version 1)

So the big question - Have you ever lost a fish because the SPRO failed?

TO MY RECALLECTION.....DO YOU LIKE THAT WORD? I HAVE NEVER HAD AN INLINE SPRO FAIL ME........

HOWEVER....MAYBE I HAVE BEEN PURE LUCKY

I HAVE HAD GUYS TELL ME THAT THEY HAD FAILURES WITH THE INLINE AND I JUST SCRATCH MY HEAD CONFUSED AND HAVING NO ANSWER

I ALSO WANT TO HIGHLITE ONE MORE THOUGHT HERE: ON THE SNIPER ABYSS OLD SALTY WEAPONRY ......I CHANGE MY BRIDLE OUT EVERY TRIP AND I AM PREPARED TO CHANGE IT OUT DURING A TRIP IF NECESSARY....

I ALSO AM PREPARED TO CHANGE OUT THE 130FT LEADER ...ESPECIALLY IF I HAVE CAUGHT A FEW SLOBS THAT DAY.....REMEMBER WITH ALL THAT DRAG ON THE TIAGRA, THE LEADER WILL STRETCH ON IMPACT AND IT GETS THIN MIGHTY QUICK

I WANT TO THANK JOHN AND THE BEAST ONCE AGAIN FOR ROCKIN ON THIS ONE!

I WILL REUSE A SPRO INLINE 2-3 DAYS IN A ROW BUT ONCE THE SPRO SITS OUT ANY ACTION.....I CONSIDER IT'S SHELF LIFE TO BE DIMINISHED
