    A mother's thank...

Well, some of you may understand the feeling and some of you may not. If you have ever heard the "mom, mooooom, mom, mom, mooommy..." every 30 seconds, you must know that a 30 second break sometimes is not a bad thing. Having raised my boys for a few years as a single mother, I tried my best to do "manly" activities with them but soon they noticed I was not a good paintball player & the fish they caught at the lake (never off shore) were dying because we got to throw them back because I could not take them off the hook! Well, after getting married my sweetheart has taken over those obviously not made for me hobbies and all I do is anxiously wait for the delicious fish at home.
Little I knew the blessings had not stop coming when we then had the pleasure to meet the Merry Marlin crew.
Nobody knows what a mother that once had a clingy, needy, child feels when she sees and hears that child coming from a day of fishing with the MM crew! What a blessing it has been to have Jacques and his family in our lives!
What an example of parenthood! I can only hope my child grows up to be like Jacques': humble, fun loving, hard working, respectful and mature. A vivid reflection of what they see at home.
Jacques, I have to thank you for having Jeff and Daniel over and taking them on an adventure that will last in their memories for ever.
To all of you that fish with your children, wether they are girls or boys, the bonding time and the memories that you are now creating will make them the adults with integrity tomorrow. It's not how much the rods are, or what brand the outfits are, what price tag the boat has, not even the quantity of time you put into it, but the quality of time you devote to them.
That is why, this mother today, wants to thank the love of my life: Ponce, and his "sidekicks" Jacques, Patrick & Jacky for making my little boy the happiest on the face of the earth!

    Thank you guys!
I must say... I have not met a single person from the "fishing world" that has let me down! I know there might be some that are not so honorable but that happens everywhere. All I know is that I have been blessed with only meeting people with integrity, excellent work ethic and devotion for their families and what they do. Jacques, Kevin, Marty, Brian, Roger, Ricky and his wife, Jim, and so many others that I fail to recall their names but their faces and their families are vividly printed in my memory. All great role models for my Danny-boy!

Been too busy and Missed this thread!
Claudia you can be proud of that Danny-Boy... It hasn't been that long that he's been going on the water but he already has reflexes of a great fisherman. He reminds me a lot of Patrick always going 110%. That teaches them lessons fast and I loved the look in his eyes when I gave him a hand as he was clinging on the gunnel having wanted to see albies from a little too close....
You are raising a Great kid and we all look forward to seeing him more often.
Thanks SFC for giving me another great little buddy...
