    No question where-----

the name EXTREME MEASURES came from----

a solid 25 out of the North ( I'd say closer to 30), 4-5 ft swells in Pamlico Sound and the Beast is looking for where it's really ugly. How one anchors a perfect casting distance off the windward shore in a mess like that I'll never know, but it was done time and again throughout the day.
I don't know how many pups we caught as I quit counting around 50, but it was in your face, constant action all day long. So many of us only focus on offshore or the big old drum in the late summer, but these 6 to 15 pound fish on light spinning tackle is as fun as it gets.
As for the offshore trip, it was the same ole same ole on the Run Off--- left the dock as every other crew on the Morehead waterfront were still slamming their snooze buttons on their alarm clocks. I ain't for sure if we made it all the way down to the Georgia border or not, but I did hear a conversation on the radio about the Citadel needing a better front offensive line---
The Blackfins, Wahoos, and Sailfish were snapping pretty good all day and we ended up with a nice mess of fish.

To top it off, fished with a group of great people for two days, and met some new friends.

Extreme Measures----- can't imagine how that name came about---

Thanks for posting up the video and pics Brother box.

I just got back from trick or treating with the crew and was pleasantly surprised to have a movie for my boys before bed of their dad reeling in his first sail fish.

    Awesome.

Hey, keep that down!! I prefer this fishing to almost anything else and the nastier, the better. Below is a picture of an October fish from a year or two ago.

What better way to burn the early morning and daylight hours than some quality fishing amongst friends.

And then what Glen W said...

Sounds and looks to have been a good one... or better yet "THE TRIFECTA".
