Sorry I am so late getting here with my version of the most unholy splattergate in many many years but it took me 3 days to get my fingers to straighten out from gripping the rod and reel handle. You see when you fish the RUN OFF you will spend most of your time with your hand wrapped around the gear rather than sitting watching the baits. The Beast and the BOX are as good as it is gonna get folks. Where do you start a report when you are simply in disbelief of what just happenedLets begin with the ever watchful eye of one of the best damn Captains I have ever met or fished with, Brian is so intune with what is happening at all times that you have to wonder how, he had all the latest information knew right where to go and had a sixth sense for everything down to when and how to stir the brand new fishing team on his vessel. Every call he made and every change was meticulous and provided the results intended, I tip my riggers to you Capt. Brian and can't wait to sail with you again.
Next would be Marty, I have to say I have met thousands of people in this sport and the BOX is in a class of his own setting the bar for anyone who dares to think they are more giving, more sharing more caring or more understanding then he is. I have fished with hundreds and he ranks at the very top of the list in capability, capacity and knowledge in all that he does. If anyone is looking for a father figure....brother figure...or a friend I can assure you that if you use Marty as the measuring rule you will never go wrong, He Is The MAN.
The fishing team was the iceing on the cake for a trip like this harmony and efficiency, it took a bit of time for us all to jell into what was needed to make a great trip but the results are in and it goes without saying under the command of Captain Brian and the tutelage of Marty they had us working as a team in no time and we had what would rank as the greatest trip 5 guys that never met could have and we have all made 4 new fishing buds and have a confirmed respect for the team of the RUN OFF.
Glenn was the mild constant in a crazy cockpit at times always watching everything and making small adjustments and helping with shared information for the new guys his past experience with Marty shows that he had some lessons, and he is definitely not with out humor Thanks Glenn for adding to a great trip.
Barry what can we say sharing your truck and driving us down and back without any relief, it is rare that I get to relax and ride but you provided a great trip and your company is an asset to the passengers riding with you.
John, it amazes me how you can troll all day then continue to troll that evening as we sit in Outback for dinnerand as far as the shish kabobs you provided....WOW... corner the market dude Get R Done.
Geoff what a hoot you are with your tuna transport mobile I can't stop thinking about you packing and repacking to perfection in your car LMFAO and your hustle in the pit is an asset to your fellow fishermen.
The action was incredible throughout the whole trip and the highlights are to many to put into one post. If you want to have a great trip book the RUN OFF any chance you get! My regret is I am 8 hours away and can't fill some openings when they are available because you will never regret being out with the Beast and the Box.More details to follow as I get time and they come back to me, you know it is a great trip when you can't decide which highlight is the best because there where just too many.
