Just a short report from our days fishing on Sunday.

Beautiful day started the HIGH-SPEED troll early...with no love So we decided to try the bottom had a few sniffs but nothing real promising
so made a move around lunch time and not long after the right flat screams like a dying cat and we finally got him on..
get the fish to the boat and lets just say mr wahoo had other plans for us....
I was on the gaff and as he swam into view i knew this was clearly a nice fish not monster but 50 easy.gaff shot is spot on and as i am bringing the fish over the side he smacks the side of the boat and shakes free of the gaff and is back over the side right into the motors.....gone OMG what the hell just happened!!

we re-set the mess and not long after the left sings out this one was almost gaffed from one side of the boat out the other side we were not f-ing around ....... any way lessoned learned ....big fish get 2 gaffs in the head.....i have the entire incident filmed and should have it up in a day or so.

fished out the day on the bottom doing pretty well on the triggers and groupers....

PS. Z, I figured out something about high speed hook rigs that I will have to share with you. I had it right from the beginning all along and the three we missed last trip had to do with a change to the mainstream way of doing it.
