    More Father/Kid stories

I just wanted to post up and say thanks to Squiddy Bill and all of the particiapnats and sponsors in the father kid kickoff. It was great putting names with faces and making some new friends.

    Some observations....

Dave Sikorski has unbeleivable balance and spiderman climbing abilities to avoid the big splash in when young Ernie gave him a push off of the fuel dock.

All of the "kids" I dealt with had great attitudes and will go far with this fishing thing. I had a slow day on Sat, but enthusiasm never waned, and interest was high. 1 little wahoo, but it was a first for the angler. Day 2 I mastered the art of catching little fish and losing bigger fish. Ended up with a couple of falsies, 1 blackfin, a couple of kings, 1 released cuda (another first for the angler) and pulled off a hooski and 1 other "better fish." John Rogers and Dave Sikorski helped out when we got in the weeds, and the Ernies kept me laughing. Jim and Katie were bright eyed and intent on watching the spread, no matter how much rain fell. Trojan Joe and Tuna Taxi...nice to meet you and your boys. I will PM you those phone numbers you needed.

    Lee really hates Bananas. REALLY.

#1Gaffman has the right attitude to go far in this business. He is a sponge for info. My offer stands pal, whenever you want to come to OC and learn baits or knots, you have my number.

Mr. Pino, what can I say, top notch. I wish I could have made it to all of the festivities, but with tying up loose ends and traveling home today we just could not make it.

Marty Hiatt.. again you opened your home to fisherpeople for a fiesta. I only wish I coulda been there. Thanks for all you do.

CONGRATS TO ALL OF THE WINNERS IN THIS TOURNAMENT. AND I THINK EVERYONE OF THE ANGLERS WAS A WINNER. GOOD TIMES ON THE WATER WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY..... WHAT COULD BE BETTER.

Hopefully the Last Call will be invited back next year. Had a great time.

Spiderman is one way to put it, LUCKY is another.

I challeged the little guy, and like a Polack FORGOT. Didn't have anything important in my pockets so it wouldn't have been too bad if I had gone in.

Thanks for a good day on the water Franky. I'm glad I stayed out of it!!!

Franky and Garrett - I believe I missed this picture in the picture video. This was one of my favorite pictures of the tournament. Garrett Did indeed get his first wahoo on the Last Call and Franky with all his competitive vigor wanted to get the fished weighed quickly so he grabbed the first rope in sight and tail wrapped the monster for me to weigh. Now I know their is usually some argument about fish sizes on this board but the proof is in the picture. This is a true 20lb wahoo. Don't let the size and weight of the rope fool ya. It was a bad camera angle.

Great pic. That sums up the fishing on Last Call. Franky was such a great guy to spend the day with, and wanted to make sure Garrett felt good about his first hoo. Class act all the way.
