monel to hooks

Can someone explain the best way to attach your rigging monel to a hook for ballys.

I take the end and come up through the bottom of eye on the hook and down the shaft about 1/4" from the eye.

I then hold it in place with my fingers and take the monel and wrap it around the shaft of the hook and down the 1/4" piece I am holding with my finger.

To finish it I take the other end of the monel and come through the eye of the hook from the top and pull it tight.

However you do it, make sure the monel tag end that goes into the ballyhoo is coming up through the eye of the hook. So when you pull the bait tight it seats the hook and pulls the ballyhoo down tight to the shank of the hook.
