    Miami Sail Charters

Anyone know anything about the boats Nomad, Double D or Knot Nancy out of Miami for sails? Good or bad?

Dean on the Double D is a great captain, he will put you on the fish and has an awesome boat. He is great with kids and knows his stuff. I have always had great trips with Dean over the years when I fished with him.

    Good luck!

    DON'T FORGET SWORDFISH

Heard great things about Double D. I fish with Ray Rosher on the Miss Britt when in Miami. www.missbritt.com I can attest that he is another great one. Both these guys are also excellent swordfisherman, too. If you have not caught one, you should add it to your "bucket list."

I'd second Ray Rosher, simply a great guy, great boat and crew and one of the best on out of Miami.

    Miss Brit....Capt. Ray Rosher

Miss Brit....Capt. Ray Rosher. He's the best Sailfish/kite fisherman down here...or Bouncer Smith...on Bouncer's Dusky...

What ever you do, I would do a combo trip...afternoon of sail fishing and offshore for Nigh time swords or nigh time Tarpon...you really get to mix it up..

The other guys you mentioned are very good, get fish but don't interact..you cant pick their brains...and very little excitement when on a fish..

PM me if you need introductions to Capt. Rosher or Bouncer...

Thanks all. We booked on the Knot Nancy and I will be sure to post a report.

Ray and Bouncer did not have openings that fit our time frame.

    Knot Nancy

Capt. Dave...He's very good...I see him out there..He moves a lot and stays on top of the sails...I've never fished with him, although he keeps his boat in the marina I was at for several years (TNT on 135 St.)...I think you will have a great time..Enjoy Miami, weather is amazing right now..

Well, we Sailfished on 2/12/11. Wind out of the north at about 15kts. Nice 4's rolling through, 60ish degrees and rain. Perfect conditions, but unfortunately no one told the Sails...No Sail bites, a few bonita and a king. Had one cutoff and a few popped leaders. Radio was really quiet too. Bad thing was apparently they killed them the day before. Next time I will try to book a few days in a row.

Captain Dave on the Knot Nancy is a good guy and worked hard to put us on the fish, I just don't think they were eating on Saturday.
