MHC Grouper digging 8/9 w/"The Block"

Well I just read Sea Biscuits report and have to say we didn't hurt the Groupers but we wore out everything else.

My wife and myself were joined by none other than "The Block" and E40/Chip for hopefully a fish killin. With E40's rig in for warranty work and Baywolf not having a charter that left us with the might "Foul Hook'd". Weather forecast called for it to lay down in the afternoon, perfect, ultimate small boat offshore adventure began!

First stop was around the docks and Duke Marine Lab for some pinfish, with the tide ripping they were few and far between, but Chip and Rick snagged a few. With Cigars and squid on ice we headed out, little choppy but got better off the beach. First stop produced some nice triggers, Rick landed one that'll push 5lb. easily. Moved around picking away at them before heading to some new grouper #'s.

First drop we get attacked by the Pinkies, non stop action, quickly filled the limit. Moved some more then the beeliners showed and few big grunts, more meat on ice. Time to drop the Pins and see whats home. Rick and myself tried the jigs first, then E40 gets a good strike, down goes the live baits. Rick doubles over, get the gaff! Nice Scamp around 10lb. Shortly E40 rolls in another, then another! After missing several good strikes I went back to the bottom rigs and started getting plenty of beeliners and sharks and sharks and more sharks.

Beeliners and a few triggers finished out the day, with a storm moving offshore of SWBoro we decided to head to the hill. Great day on the water with the wife and 2 top notch guys and some fish to boot, don't get much better than that! Hopefully weather will hold and get back out Tuesday with more live bait and see what happens.
