    MHC Fishin report 8 7 07

The dog day's of August are here....God it's HOT!!
Anyway I took Bob Murphy and his family fishin. We started just short of the 90' drop, trolled to the back side of it and then offshore to the Rock. Temp out there must of been 95+ and no wind. Brutal in the cockpit! Anyway at 55 fathoms on the 586 line we managed a 22# hoo which Bob's daughter in law Lindsay did a great job bringing in! We had on another nice one on for several moments until he bit thru the leader. We had several more bait tail bite off's. No mahi, sails, or kings. 86.7 water temp. Fishing is very slow now. The charter boats were gripping on 18.
Anyway we all had fun and I believe everyone enjoyed themselves.
    sea ya,
    Fred

Thanks for the report Fred. Pretty work on your Wahoo.

Don't know about the fishing being slow though.

Tuesday, 1 MHC Charter boat had 12 Wahoo
Another one had 6 wahoo and jumped off 3 sails and 1 Blue
Another boat released a Blue and a White and had some Wahoos.

Yesterday Fight N Lady had 6 Wahoo's and released a White and a Sail.

Seems the fishing is pretty good right now even though the water is hot.
