    MHC - 05-13 Report

We headed out Wed after debating the weather for a bit...
Cleared the inlet and it was flat... Got to thinking that it was gonna be a bluebird... Then we got to the knuckle... Dreams of a bluebird day went out the window...

We found a nice temp break in 22 fathoms with some weed and flyers, so we set lines out. Before we got all lines out we had a peanut mangle oue bait ... Ok we are in the right area...

Get the spread set and started picking up a few mahi - the fish were definitely there - we just pulled hooks...

About noon a pod of dolphin adopted us - and stayed with us for most of the rest of the day - I'm not sure if it was mating behavior or what, be we were treated to tail walking dolphin, a pair of dolphin doing co-ordinated barrel roll jumps and then random free jumps - all in all very cool - we added a wahoo and king and were hoping for a yellowbelly to round out the meatfish slam...

Nice gaffers Fred. Glad you got to go. No such thing as a bluebird day this spring. Either go and take your lumps or stay on the hill wishin'

Glad you got on some fish Fred. Sounds like a fun day even if the seas did not cooperate the whole time.
