Awesome report. Glad to see I am not the only one that becomes more like a kid the older I get.

We snuck into the house and hit the pillows after 2.

Here are some stills I picked...in the order they ocured.

Away at first light...the games have begun.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8130002.jpg
Jackie seems to aprove of The Captain's rally cap.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8130003.jpg
    The light...slickcam
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8130006.jpg
Why do I have to wear my boots when everyone else is barefoot?
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8130008.jpg
A keeper Scamp to get things started...
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8130010.jpg
May not be a Broomtail...but the Captain certainly approved. This was after Jackie tried to get his wahoo on slickcam bottom fishing seas.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8130012.jpg
Not helping the trolling request from Jackie...a fine pile of puddin comes in the boat thanks to Jaques!
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8130019.jpg
Rumplestiltskin climbing back in the boat after a 50 fathom swim with a couple sharks...
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8130021.jpg
A slow bottom bite and a quickly deteriorating slickcam resulted in a little cloud cover, surface chop, and a couple little rascals making jokes about stepping on a duck...ALL while hovering over Jackie's head...
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140030.jpg
The cloud cover had a few billfish slashing...I missed a little sail...then this thing committed suicide on the planer. Jackie was pleased to get a wahoo and I asked it nicely to smile for a facial.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140033.jpg
Reluctantly, but proudly, holding a donkey.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140060.jpg
The Captain was much more interested in holding the Groupers and slipperys.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140064.jpg
Unfortunately, while swapping fish for the picture...he was bobbing when he should have been weaving and DUMB dad caught him with an elbow to the face. I have hit grown men harder. I was horrified that I hit him but very proud how he took it. A little man trying hard to hang tough.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140065.jpg
    Let the science project begin...
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140069.jpg
This thing bit Jackie while gutting a hoo...
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140070.jpg
Another shot for scale...(there were a ton of these on the cudas face too)
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140077.jpg
    Rumpletriggerstiltskin....
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140086.jpg
a.k.a. Mark. What a GREAT KID!
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140087.jpg
    Are they still there?
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140090.jpg
    YUP...Ten Toes.....................................for now.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140091.jpg
The spread...not bad for a slow day...
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140095.jpg
The boys...unhappy about being forced from the comforts of A.C., candy, and video games.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140096.jpg
Now can we go back in?
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140097.jpg
After going to bed at 2AM-no nap-it is now 11:30PM and we are supposed to go have more fun tommorrow. I turned out the light and expected him to fade instantly into dreamland. Thirty minutes later I rolled over andsaw a little glow coming from the top bunk...Had to tell him to turn it off and go to sleep.
    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140100.jpg
That's a wrap for day one...

More later...I am going to sautee a couple beeliner fillets for the kids and I for lunch.
A SlipSlidin quote is more than appropriate right now....
    Life is Good.

Here are some more still photos from day two...

Raring to go bright and early. Prospects of water less than 100 feet deep and no trolling are plenty effective cures for sleep deprivation...the little men are ready.

    The sugar helps too...

    Merry Marlin weekend 14 & 15-08 report-p8140107.jpg
Proud to have baited, dropped, hooked, and retrieved this one unassisted....it would be the first of many first this day...

    I'm NOT TIRED!

I can't remember five minutes going by without laughing...My son is already begging to go back.
Jaques, Jackie, and Mark...can't thank you enough. Sure was fun day of "slow fishing".
Hope to get the videos up one of these days...

I look forward to your slide show fishing reports. You guys really know how to catch 'em up!

Question- We catch AJs sometimes, but never keep them. Are they ok to eat? (I had always understood they are not.)

Anyway, very, very nice report! I love the smiles on the little and big boys' faces!
