Had to find an excuse to go to the coast with the nice weather so this time we told the boss we had to clean up after the snow smashed the pines!!!! Downeast trees must be used to wind but not that white stuff...
Headed out with a soft NW wind in a straight line from the Jetty to the NE Corner cutting through 3/4 of the flat shoals...
Doesn't happened often!
49F water a mile inshore of the 90 jumping to 61 within a mile! Got to the Rock and put lines in 71F water. Didn't take long to hit a double getting us excited only to release a pair of albies. The tide was ripping and no bait was to be found. An hour later a pair of small blackies came onboard and that was it!!!! Left for home before 11.00 with the goal of doing some bass fishing. Stopped in a hundred Feet and understood why Biscoto's and Slips favorite fish both brown and red are closed at this time of the year...... Amazing and Amazed!!! We moved on.
Headed to the P bouy to finish loading on the black bass.
They were there but so were the dogfish. Another amazing site to see them come up 2 by 2 accompanied by 3 or 4 others...Is this mating time or what! Took one home to see what they taste like!
Anyway, not much of a report but a beautiful day to run the engines...
No wahoo for us but BSB's will be on the grill this week!!!
