My sister Martine and brother in law Harry came for a week visit. They may live on 4 continents and have seen a lot but they had never experienced a downeast adventure the way their nephews like it...
We started late with plans of staying close as Harry never knows how he will feel on the water. The ocean was sleekcaam and we headed east to some close fishing grounds from where he could still see the lighthouse...
Martine had never worn a camo jacket and with the cooler weather she was happy to try it on! It's just part of the uniform here!
Claire is just like her Dad... Hates getting up early ! She quickly adopted this new chair on the MM. If anyone recognizes their lost bean bag and tells me where and when they lost it I'll be glad to return it in exchange of a ride on their too fast King Mac boat!!!!
First stop gave our guests the ultimate NC punishment ... A reef monkey to help digest breakfast and get things going!
Martine battled well and I assisted a little at times I guess those pictures are on her camera!
She prefered something smaller...
More species came up to but don't flip the fish to us like that...
While I was wrestling a big shark, Marc's line got tangled to mine as he also was bringing a fish up on his 30lbs mono line.... it happended to a good gag. The 4/0 hook was half open but the fish came up! Mono's strech cant help!
After recuperating from his Ap, Harry came back out for something better...
The bottom was hot and the bite was fast and furious. Lots of laughing and joking as everyone caught as the sinker touched the bottom! Carolina at it's best...
Several small ARS no keepers today, Jacky had to swim one down for the release as it kept on popping up. It finally made it down.
Claire even got her first grouper, a little short but he'll be there for her in a couple years...
Marc and Claire loosened up their nerves after seeing Jacky in the water and both watch the AJ's swim around and named the fish coming up before we could see them...
Jacky it's a Gag!
Claire has started helping some and even though she doesn't enjoy really enjoy killing fish she did start releasing some in the box...
As we had a limit of gags we moved to the trigger spot! Jacky while looking for chocolate discovered that our guest had brought bananas for lunch. Those were the good luck charms.... He had to joke about it!
Catch of the day was this unfortunate tomtate... but he made a good meal for a beeliner!
Small is always beautiful too... This baby came swimming around and Jacky had to hold it before releasing him. She should Gaff in a few months!
By 13.00 the box was full and triggers (holwachagot would have taken up some seroius space to do his tiling job!) were starting to lay on the floor so we called it quits and went for a swim @ the Bight. Incredible high tide!
A "clueless" picture of the day... Amazing how water will camo up things to the humans eye!
This morning Jacky took his aunt and uncle for a Marsh ride in the duck boat to check out the horses and for a swim on the eastside.
Great having you guys around, I wish you guys would move to your Chatam Co. property to joins us for more fun!

Even if you guys caught nothing your reports would be wonderful. The stuffed fish boxes do add a certain wow element, but the family ties and kid smiles are truly incredible.
Special congrats to Marc on his light tackle gag and Claire on her first.
Thanks for another great installment of the Merry Marlin downeast chronicles.
