Had a nephew and his family come for a visit from the other side of the pond and had to take them Downeast to show what that place is all about!
We went on the Eastside to do some close to shore fishing as Xavier had never done any offshore fishing.
No kings to be found so it was time to introduce him to his first AJ....
Summer fishing means Cudas and it was his chance to get one of those for the first time...
Summer fishing on a wreck also means... Dive boats! Midnight Express showed up but that's their job so we took off instead of being surrounded by bubbles....
It was time to look for some grouper. We found many small ones but Xavier got to catch his first Gag. This one will keep in a couple years...
Marc & Jacky loaded some triggers left and right. Seems like a bumper crop this year! Patrick was fishing with a neighbor and things were nice and calm on the boat!...... Xavier took a bunch of pix with a pretty nice camera... Hope to get some of the pictures!
We were in pretty shallow green water but got several visits of some welcome mahi's. He got to add another specie!
One last close to shore fish for him with a large 27" Spanish. Not a bad one for a first!
It was time to cross the shoals and go for a swim at the Cape...
Always fun introducing someone to what NC has to offer. The bite wasn't very hot but he got to see a good variety of fish and see his cousins in their element!
