Cant we all just get along? Man some people just get all twisted. Marty its your world keep doing what you do . Yeah some times Marty comes across a little strong but this is his forum hes allowed. Ive noticed he rarely goes off in any other forum ( maybe once if I remember right I could be wrong). N2 alot of people here have alot of respect for Marty because hes alwayswilling to help. You may not see it because he does PM alot of people. Marty doesnt know me from Adam but last year when I lost my job and started my long search Marty offered to put me in contact with anybody he could if I wanted. Thats worth alot the man does have contacts. Saltwater man Im guessing you must be tight with Marty if not his brother, but dude seriously your like his avenging angel, and wow whats up with the big colorful text? Chill man half the time it just aggravates the situation, its kinda silly. I really doubt any of this really bothers The 'Box too awful much true type A personalities rarely give much of a shit of others opinions. Oh well said my piece now you can all go back to the name calling. Im going out back and blow through a couple hundred rounds. I feel the urge to put a hurtin on some steel.

A lot speak of Wahoonbox's willingness to help and give advice. I have a story for you naysayers who are trying to put a man down.

I was on the Run-Off this year on a meat fishing trip. We spent all day getting banged around and were hanging out around the boat. Marty was cleaning the boat, Brian was re-fueling. Everyone was hot and tired. A tour group of children from Ohio stopped by to look at the boat. The catch had already been unloaded and was being cleaned. One of the kids saw a sea witch and said "is that what you use for bait" Marty replied something to the effect that this was a sea witch and that one riggs ballyhoo to the sea witch. "What is a ballyhoo" the kid replied.

Then out of nowhere Marty, told the young man that since he was the only one who asked a question, he would like to invite him on the Run-Off. The kid was amazed and toured the boat with eyes wide open. He was so excited. Even got to go to the bridge!

This will always stick out in my mind. As a youth, I had no access to a great sportfisher much less a row boat. I would ride my bike to the waterfront most every afternoon in the summer. I would take lines from mates, help offload catches, and just enjoyed hanging around the dock. NOT ONCE DID ANY CAPTAIN OR MATE offer for me to come aboard. They were too busy.

This simple act of kindness made a profound impression. Now that I have my own boat. I try to do the same because I remember when I was a child.

Why are there so many haters on this board? The man (Marty) is on TV doing what he loves to do. How about a "good job" or "well played". I know this thread has been posted before but Fighting Irish45 just saw it today and was stoked. Some of you guys need to chill out and get a fuckin life instead of being assholes on the internet.

I for one, have never even met Marty in person and he has already squared me and my buddy away with a shit ton of ballyhoo and more info than I know what to do with through a few phone calls. Not many people out there are willing to help people they haven't even met before. So in my book Marty is a great guy and an badass fisherman. Some guys on here need to seriously think before you type or speak.

Well put surfr, I for one, in the past, visited this site infrequently, then at the MA500 when I met Marty for the first time not only was he a great guy but he inspired me to be more active on the site.

For those who have an opinion about that, maybe instead of being a drama queen school girl you can GET A LIFE, and gossip on another forum. I don't watch TV all day or play on the internet so when you see my thread and the title is old news move on and pay me no mind.

I post reports and get 500 hits but no responses or just a few. I post something that has little relevance to helping people catch fish and its two pages long.
