JUST CAME OFF THREE CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF MAHI SLAYING......I'M TALKING THE MAX LOAD....60 PER DAY..........MOST WERE BAILERS WITH GIGGERS AND GAFFERS MINGLED IN...........

FISH CLEANING IS BIG BUCK BIZNESS IN NORTH CAROLINA......AND I HAVE SKINNED AND FILLETED ALL I CARE TO.......I NORMALLY HAUL OUR LOAD TO THE CAROLINA PRINCESS FISH CLEANING CREW AND THEY DO IT @40CENT PER POUND............

THIS PARTICULARWEEK...I OPTED OUT OF EXPORTING THEM AND CLEANED THE 180 MAHIS ON 3 BACK TO BACK DAYS.............

WELL........I HAVE WORN A FISH CLEANING APRON THAT GOES BELOW MY KNEES AND UP ACROSS MY CHEST FOR 25 YEARS ....GUESS WHAT?.....THATS RIGHT....I COULDN'T FIND IT AND THEREFORE.......I WENT APRONLESS AND NOW I HAVE PAID THE PRICE,.....AGAIN!!!!!!

THE BILE, THE CRAP...THE SLIME......THE JUICES....THE GUTS........ALL THE LIQUIDS FROM 180 MAHIS DRIPPED ONTO THE LOWER PART OF MY FISHING SHORTS.....THEREFORE SOAKING INTO THE AREA JUST ABOVE MY KNEES AND JUST BELOW THE KNEE....AND THE..............PRESTO................MAHI POISONING.................

PAINFUL YOU ASK? F'IN A IT IS PAINFUL! IT APPEARS ON YOUR SKIN AS A RED PIMPLE THE SIZE OF A PENCIL ERASER......I BROKE OUT WITH 20 OR SO "POISONED" AREAS THE THIRD DAY OF THE SLAUGHTER HOUSE BUT IT WAS TOO LATE BY THEN......SORT OF LIKE A BAD ASS MOSQUITO BITE........IT TAKES A WEEK UNTREATED AND 7 DAYS TREATED TO CLEAR UP....


AS FOR AN APRON.................DON'T CLEAN FISH WITHOUT IT!

wow, i got this on my knee caps and bottom of my thighs last year while collaring tuners, unhooking mahi and being in the blood and slime on a few overnighters...damn i'll know better next time. Now I know what the BS was. Man the bibs will be on this year and i'll be scrubbing myself down constantly. Thanks for the heads up.
